The Ruby Mimi is our first hotel in Switzerland. In the centre of Zurich, 208 rooms are spread over seven floors in the listed Art Deco building with a total area of 8,400 square metres. The hotel is just a stone's throw from the River Limmat, the Old Town and the city's most popular shopping streets. The Ruby Mimi building housed one of Zurich's first cinemas and pays homage to early Hollywood. Inspired by the unique style and spirit of the stars, there is always a hint of Hollywood magic in the design.

Trust us, you won't get bored, as you: 

  • are responsible for all general technical minor repairs, structural repairs and necessary maintenance measures
  • check regularly the technical facilities of the hotel
  • coordinate all external facility management service providers
  • work closely with the head office in Munich and coordinate with the housekeeping team
  • supervise all regular maintenance and expert inspections of the technical and safety-related equipment in coordination with the Maintenance Manager
  • troubleshoot operational issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as kitchen equipment and appliances
  • purchase replacement material in the area of responsibility
  • take care of the outdoor facilities

We've been waiting for you, since you have/are:

  • a training in the field of HVAC and/or electrical and several years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • gained experience in leading/coordinating external service providers
  • good general technical knowledge and skills (e.g. painting, electrical, plumbing)
  • ready to work on call and take on weekend shifts occasionally
  • a confident, authentic and loyal appearance
  • enjoy dealing with international, demanding guests and have the ability to respond smartly to different guests and wishes
  • speak a good command of English and German
